Launching of the Agri-Puhunan at Pantawid Program in Mindanao

Provincial Capitol Gymnasium, Sarangani April 11, 2025 As the Administration realizes its goals of achieving food security by providing continuous support to all agriculture sector workers, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. launches the Agri-Puhunan at Pantawid (APP) Program in Mindanao at the Provincial Capitol of Sarangani on April 11, 2025. Initially rolled out in September last year, the program aims to assist rice farmer-members of agricultural cooperatives across 1.2 million hectares nationwide. It targets to increase their productivity and income by providing low-cost credit, financial assistance and a ready market for their harvests. Upon arrival, President Marcos Jr. awards various interventions to the Provincial Local Governments of Region XII, including Sarangani, Cotabato, South Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat. He also turns over various farm machineries and equipment (FMEs) to select local government units (LGUs) and farmers' cooperative associations in the Region. Likewise, he checks on the agri-products of Planters Products, Inc. (PPI) and conducts a quick visit to the Kadiwa ng Pangulo booths at the venue. During the program, the Chief Executive scans a mock Interventions Monitoring Card (IMC) at a kiosk which signals the official launch of the APP Program.
