SPLIT ist die zweitgrößte Stadt Kroatiens und größte Südkroatiens und gilt daher im Volksmund auch als „Hauptstadt Dalmatiens“. Die wunderschöne Uferpromenade auch Riva genannt beginnt am Fährhafen und zieht sich lang am Meer hin. Die Riva ist Flaniermeile und Wohnzimmer der Bürger zugleich. The beautiful waterfront promenade, also called Riva, starts at the ferry port and stretches along the sea. The Riva is both a promenade and a living room for the citizens.
