How to Download & Install LineageOS 18.1 on the POCO F2 Pro | Redmi K30 Pro | LMI

The Lineage OS 18.1 custom ROM is now officially available on the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro (also known as the POCO F2 Pro) and in this video I show you how to download and install it. Don't forget to hit the "Thanks" button on this video, if you can, and join our channel community here -    / @explainingandroid   LineageOS has been available on this smartphone for a few months but until now it was only via an unofficial build. To top it off, almost all (if not all) of the ROMs available for the phone have had various bugs as well. One bug in particular is the fingerprint scanner authentication module that's under the display. Before, this barely worked but with the LOS 18 ROM that's now available it seems to be working better. We need to have the bootloader unlocked first, but after that you're free to download the ROM (and recovery if you wish) and follow along with me in this video. I start off by showing how to install the LineageOS Recovery but you can flash the ROM file via another custom recovery (such as OrangeFox or TWRP) if you already have that set up. The only main requirement here is that we format the /data partition after we boot into the custom recovery. I show this using the Lineage OS recovery provided but you can replace the adb sideload parts of this video with just installing/flashing the ROM file like you normally would. After we adb sideload the ROM file, we can simply boot into Android and begin setting up Android.
