As someone who has battled with chronic pain since I was 15, I have wrestled through every season and emotion that it has brought — anger towards God, confusion, discouragement, hope and faith waning, and sadness over the loss of what was stolen from my life. There were times that I would be sobbing at the piano because it was so painful to sing, and I wondered if I would ever sing again or walk in any of the things I felt God calling me to. But I can honestly say that this pain has allowed me to see the mercy and love of God in ways that I’m not sure I would have experienced in this life apart from it. If this is you, one that is still in the wrestle, I am here with you. The journey is weary, lonely and long at times, but let Him in to it. He is present in our pain. He doesn’t shy away from our anger and frustration. And though we falter in our faith at times, He remains ever faithful (2 Timothy 2:13). -Esther Since much of what I sing is spontaneous and varies each time, these lyrics are not exact but serve as a general guide.
