June 30, 2025 was my last paycheck. I was angry. Confused. Blaming people. Even blaming God. But what I’ve come to realize is this: God wasn’t punishing me. He was forming me. After speaking at a funeral for a 33-year-old man whose life ended suddenly, I was forced to wrestle with a powerful scripture from Ecclesiastes 9:10: “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might…” Because there is no work, no planning, no wisdom in the grave. You don’t know when your life will end. You don’t know how much time you have left. So why waste it complaining? Why waste it blaming? Why waste it being angry?
