Great style and technical execution! Great rhythm, intonation, sound and style for Mozart 39 movement 2. Mature Scheherazade solo - wow! Wonderfully prepared and performed audition - bravo. Mozart 39 movement 1 is very steady, but at this tempo, the 16th notes sound frantic and the intonation is compromised - take the edge off the tempo and you'll immediately have more style in your rendition. Reviewer B Congratulations on a great audition! You have a great sound with a lot of cushion to it. I like that you really get into the string of the violin without forcing it. This is a testament to your great technique that you know how to pull the string of the instrument so that it projects beautifully. I liked the nuances that you added to the excerpts. The contrasts in dynamic and character were great. I also really liked when you had a long, held note in the excerpts that you developed it with vibrato and sound. This made the phrases easy to follow and beautifully continuous. Some examples of this were in the Price excerpt at letter H (measure 69), the beginning of the Scheherazade first movement excerpt, and the first note in the second movement of the Mozart excerpt. I would suggest taking the Mozart first movement excerpt just a little bit slower in general. You played it technically perfectly but I would like to hear a little more elegance and grace in the sound. I noticed that your right hand went a little faster than your left hand wanted to go in the Scheherazade second movement, after the fermatas. I would try to stretch out the notes so that we can hear the melodic line. There is the B pedal that you are holding so make sure to emphasize the top note of the double stops so that we can hear the main line.
