John CP Goheen - Producer I Director I Executive Producer Brad Houston - Coordinating Producer I Executive Producer Pat Woodard - Writer I Executive Producer Jon Menell - Editor Award winning and timeless... this documentary features numerous United States military veterans, their service, their struggles, and their personal stories. The film was shot and edited by a team of one-man-band videographer-editor storytellers, shooting in many states around the country on Veterans Day 2011. As an executive producer & the coordinating producer of this film I worked closely with the director for two years on nearly all production and editorial aspects of this Emmy nominated and multiple award-winning documentary. The films sole purpose is to highlight and bring honor to the american military vet. I personally recruited most of the filmmakers and all of the editors for this project, all who volunteered their time and talent to this important team effort; working closely with them on story ideas and characters for the film, pitches, content, direction, pre-production, post-production, and editing. We then compiled all of the mini-docs into a one full-length 90-minute documentary, which was edited by Jonathan Menell. The idea was to have photojournalist storytellers shoot this film all over the country on one 24-hour day, 11.11.11, Veterans Day 2011.
