There are four main types of heat clamps available. The Classic heat wand has Teflon coated plates, a groove for your extension, two smaller grooves for creating prebonded hair, and an adjustable temperature. The Stiletto has an ergonomic handle, it also has Teflon coated plates and the heat adjustment is on the cord. The Stiletto is best for applications where better visibility is necessary. The Pop Styler has its own stand. It also has the temperature adjustment on the cord. Teflon plates, a groove for your extension placement, and also a slot for making prebonded tips. The Duck wand features Teflon coated plates, a groove for your extension, two slots for making prebond, and it also feature the temperature adjustment on the cord. Unlike the other heat wands, the Duck is the only one that opens with pressure, rather than closes. It's my personal favorite. All of the heat wands basically have the same functions. They are all going to heat at the application site of your bond.So from there, it is really just a matter of personal preference. Hopefully going over the different features will help you determine which one is right for you.
