We are lucky to have this former capital and kingdom of Thailand only 1.5 hours drive from our home in Phitsanulok. Without completely spoiling the contents of the entire video, I will say that Sokhothai is a very important part of Thailand’s history as it was the first kingdom of the country. It is an area rich in history and contains many ruins, most of which are of the royal palace and temples. If you are a history buff, and you plan on traveling to Thailand, you must NOT skip visiting the Sukhothai Historical Park. The picture at the end of the video is the Naresuan University Hospital, this time during the day. It is where my wife and I spent 2 weeks assisting a family member who underwent major surgery. It is a government sponsored hospital and has top notch doctors. People from surrounding provinces travel to this hospital for their medical needs. Luckily for us, it is less than 10 minutes from our home here in Phitsanulok, Thailand. P.S.S. Sorry, my Thai pronunciation is not the best. I destroyed some names and must have practiced saying Ayutthaya like 30 times so it sounded somewhat reasonable.
