Boca Grande, Florida - Aftermath of Hurricane Milton !!

Video taken 6 weeks after Hurricane Milton hit the SWFL area. SW Florida woke up to a beautiful 65 degrees. The beaches on the island were finally opened up. The aftermath of Hurricane Milton has left many in the SW Florida area in cleanup mode. Most of the local beaches have been closed. Boca Grande island access was prohibited until they could get the island safe for non-residents. The beach was just opened. So this morning, I was able to venture over and get a look for myself. I was unable to get to the tip of the island as the State Park is still closed but was able to see a lot. This video is a bit longer but I hope you do watch all the way to the end so that you can truly take in what the wind and water from a Hurricane can do to an area. Also, like and share this video so that others get to see it. The water was calm and there was no red tide. People were coming out to the beach, people were looking for shells and some were taking a walk. As I walked around the beach, there were still a lot of debris sticking up from the sand, pieces of brick, wood, glass still apart of the beach. You have to be careful when visiting. The South Beach Restaurant appears to have some damage outside that is being worked on. They are opened at this time. You can see from the video some of the damage to the area. I also taped my route off of the island so that you can get a picture of what the town looks like, where the sand that was washed up everywhere. The crews working have done a great job at getting the island to where it is today but there is still a number of crews working and piles of debris everywhere.
