Orchestra: Wind Sough Classical Chamber Orchestra (Taiwan) Conductor: Jeremy Chang Soloist: Stefan Stanciu, pan flute Concert Location: National Taichung Theater (Taiwan) Date: 9.8.2025 ABOUT THE CONCERT Wind Sough Classical Chamber Orchestra has entered its 30th year since its establishment. During this period, it has cultivated amazing local elite performers in Taichung, and has continuously held annual concerts with various performance formats. In this concert, we will trace back to the original intention of Wind Sough's establishment and invite Finnish panflute player Stefan Stanciu and chief conductor CHANG Yi-hung. We also invite chief guest conductor GAY Moses, who has cooperated with us for the third time, to bring many different performance forms and styles of repertoire. ABOUT THE COMPOSER & SONG The “Love Theme” from Cinema Paradiso (also known as “Tema d’Amore”) is a poignant, lyrical piece from the 1988 Italian film directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. It captures the bittersweet essence of young love and nostalgia, featuring soaring strings and a haunting melody often played on violin or cello. Composed primarily by Andrea Morricone in collaboration with his father Ennio, the theme underscores key emotional scenes in the film, including a montage of edited movie kisses. It gained fame beyond the soundtrack, with covers by artists like Itzhak Perlman, Yo-Yo Ma, and Josh Groban, blending classical and jazz styles. The film won an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, boosting the theme’s enduring popularity. WWW.STEFAN.FI 史蒂芬·斯坦丘
