Regenerative systems of agriculture include agroecology, agroforestry, silvopasture, syntropic farming, permaculture, and conservation agriculture, among others. These forms of agriculture share key principles and practices of food production, such as minimizing soil disturbance, keep soil covered year-round, keep living roots in the soil, incorporating farm animals, reducing synthetic inputs, respecting human and non-human life, and supporting farm livelihood, among others. Regenerative systems of agriculture have ancient origins and are diffusing in several parts of the world. Yet, they characterize only a small fraction of global farmland (1.5% in 2025). How to scale regenerative systems of agriculture? Even more important, what does “scaling” mean in this context? What are some effective mechanisms that support collective re-organizing for regeneration? This panel of international experts will explore this subject from multiple international multi-disciplinary perspectives, including across production, procurement, finance, and digital tech, in Europe, South America, and in the United States.
