On top of that, the Free Lanes update completely changes how exploration works, finally introducing true space travel with Cruise Mode, letting players freely explore star systems without relying so heavily on fast travel. We’re also getting new gameplay systems like X-Tech upgrades, expanded ship customization, new points of interest, additional dungeons, and even new features like taming creatures at outposts. There’s also a brand new vehicle called the Moon Jumper, adding more ways to explore planets than ever before. This update is a huge step toward what many people have been calling Starfield 2.0, with major improvements to exploration, gameplay depth, and overall immersion.
