One of the central streets of the city, Sanjo-dori used to be the residential area for the ancient Heian aristocracy, the destination point for the travellers, the place for the merchants and craftsmen to show their wares and the center of blooming Japanese capitalism in 19th century. Although major temples and shrines, which Kyoto is famous for, are in the different locations, the artifacts of Japan's modern history are still remain here in the mix, that not many other city's streets can boast about. Filmed in December 2022. Directions: Sanjo street located in Kyoto's city center, so there's many options to get there.
