This is the first of four headlining shows at the Wembley Arena in London. Despite claims made by a July 1989 issue of the 'Record Collector', a British music magazine, none of the seven UK gigs on the tour had been professionally recorded by the band. Despite Freddie's voice having weakened drastically, the overall mood on stage on all four dates is still overwhelmingly positive with lots of fun stage banter by Brian and Freddie and fantastic band performances on all four nights. For the first time on recording, Freddie adds a reassuring "I still love you, you better believe it" before Brian's guitar break during 'Love of My Life'. The guitarist once again plays parts of his 'Dead on Time' solo during the 'Keep Yourself Alive' improv section. Additionally, Freddie launches into parts of The Crickets' 'Not Fade Away' before 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love', something he had already done in Stockholm two years ago. Tonight, Roger joins him with a few drum fills. Before 'Hammer to Fall', which still follows the instrumental extravaganza tonight, the big lighting rig seems to malfunction as a laughing Freddie tells the crowd that their multi-million pound toy is not working properly.
