Hi, It’s Tech & Hobby. Hope you are well. I’m here with a simple trick for USB Device Not Recognized Error in Windows Unknown USB device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) Error Code 43. The Error Says, “The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it.” Or “One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message.” THIS MAY OR MAY NOT WORK. IT IS TEMPORARY SOLUTION WHICH WORKS IN MANY CASES. Last day I inserted a old usb flash drive. I did not know whether it was in good condition and working well. Alas! After inserting it one of the USB ports, its showing “USB device not recognized” The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. I quickly disconnected it. But a matter of sorrow that my other USB scanner is showing same error (that was working well in the computer) Here I tried for hours to fix it : A. 1. I browsed in the internet for solution 2. Uninstalled the device driver of the malfunctioned device 3. Updated with the latest driver 4. Reboot/Restarted the Computer 5. Result : Big “0” B. I changed power options to several scheme but did not got any result. C. I had reset the USB hub and uninstalled USB controllers and installed again but it did not work. I tried all I knew but failed and lost hope. At last I intentionally unplugged my usb scanner and changed its usb port and plugged it in to another usb port. Bingo! And it gave me a sweet staring sound and I got relief So, friends. Don’t loose hope at first like me. Don’t change the device driver knowing well (this would cause problems) and surf the internet for hours. Just keep your head cool. UNPLUG ALL USB DEVICE. PLUG IT TO ANOTHER PORT / CHANGE THE PORT ONE BY ANOTHER HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU Suggestion : Don’t plug in previously known damaged/faulty usb device. Unplug usb device by selecting “REJECT”
