There was obviously too much to be effectively threshed by hand so I was on the lookout for a machine. It was important to find a thresher I could easily transport between outdoor and indoor locations despite future climatical conditions- but also a manageable and affordable machine that I could dedicate purely to Quinoa, thus avoiding any chances of a Gluten contamination which might have been induced by hiring someone else´s machinery. On the Website Alibaba I found the solution. The UGT10 multi-crop thresher from the chinese company Zhengzhou Ugood Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd, has proved perfect for my modest harvest and has supplied an excellent sales and delivery service. The motor can be swopped with an electric version but I will keep the diesel for my threshing next season- hopefully earlier in the year and outdoors.
