Quite popular throughout the 60's and 70's were these Regina Electrikbrooms and the essentially similar rebranded for Sears Kenmore Kwik Sweeps. They were touted in the catalogs of the day as adjuncts to your regular vacuum cleaner not as a replacement. For quick tidy ups and such when you didn't want to drag out your big vacuum. Most noteworthy are the myriad of fabrics they used. These of mine are only a sample of hundreds of different ones from colonial stylings to the latest funky or pop-art fabrics there was an Elecktricbroom to fit all tastes. They are not something you would use if you had an allergies or aversion to dust because dust spews forth through that fabric when the vacuum is operating. They were usually offered in 3's. A budget model lacking the rug pile dial, a middle of the road model with the rug pile dial and edge cleaners and the fancier model with the rug pile dial and TWO speeds. The Electrikbrush model with the power nozzle came later. I'm not sure if other departments than Sears also sold them under different names. More than likely.. anyone know?
