Super Mario Bros. (NES) "Turtle Tipping" Infinite Lives (Real Hardware)

This was my first time doing this trick since I called the Nintendo hotline back in 1992 or 1993 to find out how to do it. Once I was told how by the Nintendo "game counselor", it was fairly easy to do; I did it after only a few tries. I recently decided to try it again, but I first had to refresh my memory by watching a YouTube video of someone else doing this old trick. It isn't hard to do, you just need to keep the jumps going by tapping the jump button at the right speed, which is a matter of trial and error (tap faster or slower until you find a speed that works). Since this is only my second time doing this trick over a period of 20 years, I haven't had much practice, so I'm not very good at keeping the jumps going, but I was still able to get quite a few extra lives before the time ran out. Also, you can't really get "infinite" lives doing this. I believe that 99 lives is the maximum for this game, and unless you're really good at keeping the jumps going, you'd probably have to repeat this trick a few/several times to reach 99 lives.
