Day 2: Nata to Kasane We left Nata just after breakfast. Not far from town, we turned off toward the famous Makgadikgadi Salt Pans — but today, the pans weren't dry and cracked. Instead, after the rains, they had transformed into a breathtaking, shallow lake stretching as far as we could see. We stood quietly for a while, just soaking it all in — the glint of light on water, the calls of distant birds, the feeling of standing on the edge of something ancient and vast. Reluctantly, we continued north on the A33, winding through wide open spaces and small villages. The land slowly changed, becoming greener as we moved closer to the Chobe River. Along the way, we had to drive carefully: elephants sometimes crossed the road, and groups of impalas grazed in the shade. By the late afternoon, we arrived in Kasane, a lively town perched where four countries meet. The Chobe River shimmered in the late light, that was tomorrow's adventure. We ended off the day with a swim and diner at the restaurant. What adventures will come tomorrow?
