STUPID Mod! Giant OTIS Hydraulic Elevator - Sears, Sunvalley Shopping Center - Concord, CA

[Recorded 2-4-24] For starters, I'm not sure why they would even bother modernizing an elevator in a store that probably won't be open for much longer. Secondly, why do such a half-ass mod? This was originally an OTIS with black buttons that had Adams fixtures slapped on by Schindler. Since the last time I was here, others had told me this got a second mod and I had to see it to believe it. Sure enough, it did, and it's such a pathetic excuse for a "mod." I'm assuming Schindler talked the store into doing another mod with some bs excuses. I'm really wondering why they removed the floor indicator but didn't install a new one?? The motor is STILL original too. I will say though that it's very weird to be in a Sears that's still open in 2024. This is one of 4 Sears stores left in California, and one of the 12 left in the entire United States!
