Driver You are the Wheelman - Unity Remake - 2026 Progress

I had worked on the project partially from time to time and even recently added a few things and accidentally broke the vehicle script a bit when cloning the project and modified the wrong script in the wrong project. That means a few Driver only functions are missing currently even when not really noticeable but those should all be fixable. This is more like a Preview / Prototype of V4. Here is technically the current changelog: Driver V4 Fixes and Improvements -Levels in the Level selection menu are now separated so it looks a little better (press left and right) -Fixed not visible Canvas positions for the Level selection menu (they were a little misplaced) -Traffic lights do no longer start with orange state (because it looked unrealistic) -Added advanced controls that allow more free player movement (may feel buggy) -Hopefully fixed the Radar Dot for the Second Player in Multiplayer and its errors after exiting multiplayer -Fixed main menu skipping level selection if pressing cancel at time of day select -Disabled RADAR in Interview, Apartment and Small Garage (PC Version) since there is no radar needed (Single player Only) -HUD in training garage (if doing training mission) is now disabled to represent the original game (needs felony removal still) -Fixed No Felony Cheat breaking vehicle functions entirely -Vehicle selection marker is now pixelated -Reworked vehicle selection and put every vehicle in each section / level so it looks a little bit better "hopefully" -Implemented Driver traffic vehicle damage when hit (can be disabled so it is more like Driver 2) -Added surprisingly missing navmesh to Driver's map LA -Implementation of Cop crime logic partially -Cop vehicles are now visible on radar (and animate if the player has felony) -Implementation of early deadly water (mostly Miami and some in Rio) -Lowered invisible wall colliders in Miami because why so high? -Cop vehicles can now actually turn around if you are behind them! -Cop AI max speed lowered from 240 to 185 (5 faster as player max speed) to make them a little more fair -Cop AI engine acceleration multiplicator now set to 50 to make them a little more dangerous (too dangerous actually) -Darkened Car Shadow -Lowered Exhaust emitter speed to 10 -Lowered Radar Map brightness -Lowered Radar camera size from 660 to 590 -Lowered Radar dot scale and added its shadow -Increased Radar texture render resolution from 256 to 512 to improve the quality a little -Disabled second closer camera view -Fixed rear lights for the PC NY Pickup traffic car being set up as front lights -Improved positions for the front wheels and rear lights for both of PC NY Player (1) cars -Added Sun to sky -Fixed car steering to right mostly if game had lower fps (before it actually used a camera look function and it never returned to 0 if no steering happened) -Added Infinite Versions Of Garage and Desert Level (Not Working In Multiplayer yet!) -Cop cars do now spawn sometimes if traffic is set to every thing else but not to "ALL" to make it more realistic (Before they only existed if set to "All") -Disabled weather and time select for garage levels because it is unrealistic seeing rain and snow fall in those levels -Fixed Chicago Region not having collision -Scaled Driver 2 maps up (feel still totally off) -Added missing tree to desert level -Split desert level model for more options -Added 3 missing trees to NY -Changed GameObject find and GetComponent functions (x3 of each) in traffic spawner script to be in Start() function (before it was in Update) what gave an extreme performance boost) -Added tire sounds -Added wind to vehicle engine and tire particles -Added lens flares not being visible from the side to car -Honestly not even sure what else i have added
