Tracy Kimathi, Baridi - Tree_Sea.mals , Kenya Baridi is developing solar powered cooling solutions with the aim to prevent almost 300 tonnes of meat-losses in East Africa’s livestock value chain. Evangelista Chekera, Passion Poultry Equipment, Zimbabwe, Passion Poultry keeps chicks warm, reducing mortality rates by 95%, with innovative poultry equipment that uses biomass briquettes. Sepenica Darko, FarmerTribe, Ghana, FarmerTribe gives smallholder farmers access to inputs markets, free extension services and training to empower them to prosperity. Chidinma Eriobu, Phronesis Foods Ukwa Spot, Nigeria Phronesis Foods employs youth and women to organically process and add value to traditional African Breadfruit (ukwa). Jolenta Joseph, Sanavita Company Ltd, Tanzania Sanavita tackles malnutrition by adding value to affordable, mineral- and vitamin-rich foods sourced from local small-holder farmers. 𝗠𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀 Nshimiyimana Alexandre, Sanit Wing, Rwanda Sanit Wing processes locally sourced, pesticide-free avocados into high-value oils and cosmetics. Baraka Jeremiah Chijenga, Kilimo Fresh Foods Africa LTD, Tanzania Kilimofresh is a mobile platform and delivery business connecting smallholder farmers and customers for higher revenue and better prices. Emanuel N. Kungu, Afri-EcoFeeds , Tanzania Afri-Ecofeeds uses waste from the food processing industry to create low-cost livestock feeds that help smallholders become profitable. Gabriel Eze, Rural Farmers Hub, Nigeria Rural Farmer Hub guides farmers to optimal productivity through digital extension services and crop advisories for smallholders. Nana Yaw Antwi-Boasiako, ProSect Feed, Ghana Prosect Feed turns organic waste into affordable poultry feed using insect larvae and their out-growers program lets farmers profit from their waste. Michael Ogundare, Crop2Cash, Nigeria Crop2Cash makes credit accessible to smallholder farmers by de-risking the value-chain through support services and transaction validation. Costantine Edward Herman, AgriLife Limited, Tanzania AgriLife creates eco-friendly animal feeds from food waste using black soldier fly larvae, and their future mission is cricket protein for people.
