Caterpillar Dumpers & Excavators In Action On Construction Site - Sotiriadis/Labrianidis Constr. 4k

Massive Rock Excavation for Factory Construction | 4K Video In today’s 4K video, we take you inside a large construction site where a massive factory is set to be built. The challenge? Blasting and removing 700,000 cubic meters (25 million cubic feet) of hard rock in just two months! This enormous task requires a fleet of heavy machinery, precise engineering, and expert planning. For this project, we deployed 4 Atlas Copco L6 wagon drills, 7 Caterpillar 777 dumpers, 2 Caterpillar 395 and 385 excavators, and various supplementary machines including graders, dozers, and tandem rollers. The project is managed by the experienced joint venture Sotiriadis - Labrianidis, two companies with decades of expertise in large-scale rock excavation and construction. If you love watching heavy machinery in action, this video is a must-watch! The Scope of the Project The construction of a large factory requires a solid and stable foundation, which means removing massive layers of hard rock. The site demands precision blasting, rapid excavation, and continuous transportation of material to keep up with the tight two-month deadline. Key Project Facts: • Rock to be removed: 700,000 cubic meters (25 million cubic feet) • Timeframe: 60 days • Heavy machinery deployed: Over 15 specialized machines • Companies involved: Sotiriadis - Labrianidis • Project goal: Clear the site efficiently while ensuring safety and stability This is one of the largest rock removal projects in recent years, requiring advanced planning and expert execution. Equipment Used for Blasting & Excavation 1. Atlas Copco L6 Wagon Drills – Precision Drilling Before blasting, the 4 Atlas Copco L6 wagon drills are used to create deep boreholes into the hard rock layer. These high-powered drilling machines ensure that the explosives are placed with precision, allowing for a controlled and efficient blast. • Drill Depth: Up to 65 feet (20 meters) • High-speed drilling for faster operations • Optimal precision to reduce unnecessary rock damage 2. Caterpillar 395 & 385 Excavators – Heavy-Duty Rock Removal Once the rock is blasted, 2 Caterpillar 395 and 385 excavators step in to load debris onto dumpers for removal. These machines are designed for high-production excavation, making them perfect for large-scale projects. • Caterpillar 395 o Operating Weight: 207,000 lbs (94,000 kg) o Bucket Capacity: 8 cubic yards (6.1 cubic meters) o Maximum Digging Depth: 36 feet (11 meters) • Caterpillar 385 o Operating Weight: 187,400 lbs (85,000 kg) o Bucket Capacity: 7 cubic yards (5.4 cubic meters) o Maximum Digging Depth: 29 feet (8.8 meters) With their massive digging power and precision, these excavators speed up the rock removal process, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. 3. Caterpillar 777 Dumpers – Efficient Material Transport To keep up with the high excavation rate, we utilized 7 Caterpillar 777 dumpers, which are among the best in the industry for rock and overburden transport. • Payload Capacity: 100 tons • High ground clearance for rough terrain • Fuel-efficient with powerful engines These dumpers continuously haul blasted rock away from the site, ensuring the project stays on schedule. 4. Supporting Machines – Graders, Dozers & Rollers To level and stabilize the ground, we deployed a range of supporting equipment: • Graders: Ensure that surfaces remain smooth and even. • Dozers: Push large volumes of rock and dirt for final adjustments. • Tandem Rollers: Compact the soil and rock to prepare for construction. Expertise of Sotiriadis - Labrianidis The joint venture Sotiriadis - Labrianidis is a leading force in large-scale excavation projects. With decades of experience, their skilled staff and state-of-the-art machinery ensure that even the toughest projects are completed on time. The construction of a large factory requires extensive site preparation, and this rock excavation project is one of the most challenging to date. With 700,000 cubic meters (25 million cubic feet) of rock to remove in just two months, we rely on powerful machinery, expert planning, and a dedicated team. With the Atlas Copco L6 drills, Caterpillar 395 & 385 excavators, Caterpillar 777 dumpers, and supplementary machines, this high-stakes project is on track for success. Thanks to the expertise of Sotiriadis - Labrianidis, we are proving once again that with the right equipment and team, no job is too big. @MegaMachinesChannel Is Ready To Travel All Over The World And Make Videos.
