In the latest episode of our Under The Skin series, created with Orthopaedic Specialist, Gareth Arthurs, we continue our focus on surgery techniques to correct instability resulting from cranial cruciate ligament rupture. The TTA technique (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement) is a complex technique that alters the functional geometry of the joint by changing the angle between the tibial plateau and the straight patella ligament, thus achieving functional stability in an unstable stifle. Forkless TTA is a variation on the original technique, with some differences in the procedure, and slightly different implants used.
