This morning began with a sudden desire to play the violin. Inspired by the music, I went out for a plein air walk, exploring beautiful places in search of the perfect landscape to paint. Everything was so stunning—it was hard to choose! But then—yay!—I found a magical field full of blooming poppies. I brought out my oil paints for sketching and started to capture the scene. When I got back home, I treated myself to my favorite coffee and a homemade cinnamon bun—because art deserves a reward. The bouquet of poppies kept inspiring me, so I went into my studio to finish the sketch.
