Paparoa Point is 28 km from Kaikōura town centre. They’ve used beautiful landscape planting full of native flax, grasses and bushes. There are beautiful bellbirds singing and native paradise shelducks. There are dozens of cute seals and I even saw baby seals. Kaikōura township is in the Kaikōura District, which is part of the Canterbury region, however, Paparoa Point is just after the regional boundary so it is technically in South Marlborough, despite being a short distance from Kaikōura. About me: I'm a Kiwi travelling around New Zealand in my used caravan, making informative videos about the campsites I've visited.
