This is NOT a fault of the driver, as he has been instructed by his supervisor to do so. The driver was very nice and kind enough to let me film, in no way should this video be used against him for any reason. This video was not recorded with the intent to get the driver in trouble, but STRICTLY for entertainment purposes. I would be very upset if the driver got in trouble from what I am doing. This 2007 American LaFrance is originally from Madison, WI and was bought used by DuPage Disposal. The bulk of DuPage’s route’s were unincorporated county routes In DuPage, Kane, and Cook counties. In other words it was very scattered work, with only 5,000 accounts (give or take). LRS acquired DuPage Disposal in July 2018, and all of the old DuPage units have been shifted around since. The Lodal and blue Condor side loaders, about 4 or 5 total, have been moved to the West Chicago site, and a bulk of the brown CCC Shu-Paks have been sent to the DeKalb hauling site, with one remaining in West Chicago. This particular unit helps out with one of LRS’ many contracts on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the rest of the week it does the old DuPage routes. I was very surprised by the speed of the arm, and the truck didn’t sound half bad either. The driver was super chill as well, and he said he actually knew about me from my video of the two brothers working on the white truck (links to those videos will be at the bottom). This is probably one of the most challenging videos I’ve ever filmed, as Lakeshore has a mere 10% of the market share in the area. The driver was very helpful and always told me where he’d be turning next, so this would definitely not be possible without him.
