GPD WIN3 –Handheld AAA Game Console? – Unboxing & First Impressions

The GPD WIN3 is GamePad Digital's third attempt at mobile Windows gaming. Let's open the box and see if this mobile Windows-based game console was delivered as promised. I ordered my WIN3 on Indiegogo in January 2021 and it arrived in May 2021. The model I went for has an Intel Core i7 "Tiger Lake" 1165G7 processor (4 cores with Hyperthreading), 16GB RAM (LPDDR4x 4266) and a 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD for storage. The unit arrived along with a docking station that provides additional ports including Ethernet and HDMI-out for connecting to a TV (up to 4K 60Hz). The Thunderbolt 4 port on the handheld is used to connect to the dock. This is not a paid unboxing. Quite the oppposite: I paid for the item myself and including import duty to Germany it cost around 950 Euro (I got a discount on the WIN3 because of an early bird deal in January). Music is from the YouTube Audio Library: Vampire by Emmit Fenn and Stranger by VYEN.
