Tonle Sap Lake, located south of Siem Reap in north-west Cambodia, is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and a vital part of the Mekong River system. The lake is also home to distinctive floating and stilted communities whose lifestyles are closely adapted to the changing water levels.
