The provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador issued a regional state of emergency on Tuesday for parts of St. John's, Paradise and Conception Bay South as the Paddy's Pond wildfire continues to burn out of control. The Kingston wildfire also continues to threaten communities and prompted evacuations in the Northern Bay area. One evacuee spoke about fleeing his home over the weekend at a moment’s notice.
