This waterjet cutting system features three MOTOMAN robots from YASKAWA cutting an automotive carpet. Two of them are equipped with waterjet cutting process equipment. The remaining robot glues a detail onto the carpet. The cell comprises a three station rotary table, which achieves an effective work flow. It also features an integrated waste and vacuum system. Waterjet cutting is an effective technique for cutting both soft and hard materials such as rubber, plastic, stainless steel, titanium, glass and aluminium.
