Dawn of the Mexica - Alternate Aztec History Roguelike - REALLY HARD - Quick Look - Free Play Friday

Let's play Dawn of the Mexica, a game that has caught my interest but is so obscure that Twitch didn't even know what it was despite it being released on Steam in November 2020. This is very much a traditional roguelike based on traditional Aztec mythology and an alternate history of them clashing with the Spanish Conquistadors, among other things. In this video I go over some basics but attempt to also give some helpful details that I had to figure out on my own. In this stream I play both as a Warrior and as a Firefly, but since it's already late and my brain is a little mushy and things get a little silly. Typically I would not want to be moving forward this aggressively, but this is a great example of just how dangerous the game can be even at the very beginning. All it takes is one critical hit to completely halt a run. Overall, this game is very intimidating but it's kind of like an unexplored world. There's hardly any information out there about it, and it's a game I want to explore more. Also, this is a game with a dog. Yes, you can pet the dog. Expect to see more of this game on the channel in the future. Even though I've died a lot and haven't made it past the 4th area yet, I am still really enjoying this game so far.
