Late this afternoon I noticed a young skunk digging in my backyard. He was digging up a ground wasp nest and of course the wasps tried to protect their nest. But he shook them off, snapped them up, or rolled in the grass and then turned and caught them. The nest must be worth all the trouble to him! He spent almost 4 hours at this task and then trundled to my front yard and then across the street to other adventures in my neighbours' yards.
