Hi! I'm Magenta - I'm a polyamory relationship coach and educator! I work to help people build sustainable, ethical polyamorous relationships through clear communication, honest self-reflection, and mutual respect. Whether you're new to poly or navigating complex dynamics, you don’t have to do it alone! Go to https://www.polycoach.org to learn more about me, and to sign up for a free, 30 minute intro coaching session! If you are feeling pressured to try polyamory, you don’t owe anyone your misery. When we commit to a person, we commit to the relationship we are trying to build, to the person we understand them to be. If the person or the shape of the relationship changes, we get to reevaluate. We are always allowed to reevaluate. If the situation is no longer healthy for us, we get to opt out. Remember that you have agency, and your needs and feelings matter. You do not have to go along with something that wounds you. If you decide to see if there might be something of value for you in polyamory, try to go into it from as centered a place of self as with agency and self-determination. The point is to see if this can be good for you - not just to figure out if you can tolerate the suffering. Remember that your partners desires do not reflect on your value or worth. If you want to try it, go for it. It's not easy - particularly at the beginning - but there is real beauty to be found in polyamory. But if you know, deep down, this is not right for you, it is absolutely okay to step away. #polyamory #polyamorous #ethicalnonmonogamy #relationshipadvice #relationships #openrelationship #openrelationships #autonomy #ENM #relationshipcoaching #healthyrelationship #healthyrelationships
