I knew about Juice WRLD (and his recent passing) and certainly Marshmello, but something about this song hit home for me. I think right now we're all dealing with some version of this. We're dealing with COVID, inept leadership, division, loss, sadness. It can feel like we're all "f*cking up and wrecking sh!t" sometimes. This song is everything I feel about 2020... and every genre I can possibly throw into one track: rock, hip-hop, house, EDM, pop. I just can't stick to one genre lol. One final note: as a person in recovery from addiction, I recognize that there is a drug reference in this song, and that JuiceWRLD passed from an accidental overdose.
