You might have notice that the footage at Loughborough is different than the all the footage at Quorn & Woodhouse. This is due to trying out a different camera as all the footage was recorded on my camera and all the footage at Quorn was recorded on the camera that I was trying out to see if I like it and maybe changed to a DSLR? SR “Battle of Britain” Class 34072 “257 Squadron” & BR Standard Class 9F “92134” returned as gala locos and Austerity 0-6-0ST “3809” was the third guest loco and returning to the railway after being on hire to the North Norfolk Railway. See “3809” with Giesel ejector chimney make her stand out from her other surviving sibling and also make her look like she got a Mohawk haircut in my opinion! 2026 marks 60 years since Annesley Shed in 1966. The shed was located near Nottingham along the Great Central Railway Line and to commemorate the event of the closing of the shed. The visiting 9F “92134” was renamed to “92043”. A former Annesley Shed Loco and was a primary freight engine for the Great Central “Windcutter” coal trains. I try to film her at the other side at Quorn & Woodhouse. Looking down platform 2 but unfortunately it is a popular spot and all good places were taken. So I decided to try the other side looking down the up line to Leicester. I felt please that it came out well and it different. Overall, I had a wonderful day at the Winter Gala and looking forward to more events coming up in 2026 and beyond!
