Nostalgia Reloaded : BNR Garratt Steam Locomotive runs again at SER!

What a sight this has been, bringing back all the memories from the yester-years. This is the mammoth Beyer Garratt Steam Locomotive, built in 1926, and used extensively by BNR (Bengal Nagpur Railway - now SER) and then shut down into oblivion, with the coming of the modern era diesels, and electrics. SER decided to bring the beast, back from the history books and so KGP's Loco Workshop, worked hard, behind restoring this, to make it fit for Mainline again. So it was - On 22nd Sept, SER conducted a trial-cum-exhibition run, from Kharagpur to Gokulpur outskirts, which attracted many eye-balls. We were there to witness, what it felt like, to see the Puffs and hear the Whistles, in 2018. Enjoy the full coverage, as and when it happened. Happy Nostalgia Journey!
