Ryan, my bartender, was excellent at pairing craft cocktails with delicious bites. For my drink, he created the restaurant's popular gin-based drink, The Elder Sage. It was smooth and refreshing and I absolutely could have had more than one. My appetizer, The Salted Beet, was unique and went well with my cocktail. As a newbie to tofu, I was impressed in how great it tasted! The reason I loved Vedge was because it was not only a place with delicious food and drinks, but the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I enjoyed a conversation with a couple who had moved back into the city from the suburbs. They loved the area and told me this place was one of the hottest vegetarian restaurants in the city. I can see why! If you have an opportunity to be in Philadelphia I highly recommend you stop by Vedge downtown. It is warm and cozy and with the delicious food with perfectly paired cocktails you cannot go wrong. Great for a date or for the solo diner.
