🔧 In this test demonstration, Ben walks through how to assess hydraulic cooler efficiency on a JCB 403E electric wheel loader using PicoScope 7 and BNC+ accessories. This is a real-world example of how PicoScope lets you combine temperature, current, pressure and maths channels to build a complete diagnostic picture of a hydraulic system under load. What’s being measured in this test: • Inlet temperature of the hydraulic oil (BNC+ temperature clamp) • Outlet temperature from the cooler (BNC+ temperature clamp) • Hydraulic pump pressure using the WPS600 • Electric motor load via a current clamp on the U-phase • Temperature differential using an A–B maths channel The goal is simple: ➡️ Determine how efficiently the hydraulic cooler is removing heat A healthy cooler should show a clear difference between inlet and outlet temperatures over time.
