The FACT RCF Building Products Ltd (FRBL) is a Joint venture of The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd (FACT), Kochi and Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd (RCF), Mumbai (Both Public Sector Enterprises under the Department of Fertilizers, Govt of India). We are the only manufacturer of Gypsum based Building Products “Glass Fibre Reinforced Gypsum (GFRG) wall panel (Load Bearing Panels) in India with Australian technology. FRBL PREFAB GYPWALL (GFRG WALL PANEL) is a revolutionary low cost, pre-fabricated, load bearing cellular walling product suitable for use in residential, commercial and industrial building construction. FRBL Prefab Gypwall’s are 12 m in length, 3 m in height and 124 mm in thickness. The panels are cellular in form and an alternative building material to replace bricks/concrete blocks. GFRG Wall Panels have one of the lowest levels of embodied energy of all manufactured walling products. FRBL PREFAB GYPWALL is approved by Building Material and Technology Promotion Council (BMTPC- under Ministry of Housing and Urban poverty Alleviation, Govt of India). IIT Madras has come out with a design manual for GFRG panels published by BMTPC. IIT Madras has constructed a 2 storied 4 apartment building in their campus using GFRG Panels. The Structural Engineering Research Centre (CSIR-SERC) has tested GFRG panels for construction in earthquake prone areas. It is worth mentioning that GFRG panel is selected as one of the cost effective alternative to conventional building materials for the scheme “Housing for all by 2022” under Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Govt of India. The Applications of PREFAB GYPWALL include Load Bearing Walling, Partition Walls, Compound Walls/Fencing, Horizontal Roof Slabs, construction of house/ Mass Housing/ Multi-storeyed buildings etc. FRBL GYPWALL is popular in India due to its advantages and savings in money and time of construction compared to other conventional construction materials. More than 30,00,000.00 Sq.ft FRBL Gypwall had been used till date for various construction projects and in which approximately 70% were used for constructing houses in various locations all over India. FRBL had already constructed 36 demonstration houses (G+2) in Nellore for BMTPC using FRBL Gypwall which withstood “Vardha cyclone” in the last year. In Kerala, a G+1 building completed within a period of 70 days for KSEB was widely appreciated. We are also glad to inform you that IIT Tirupati is presently constructing G+3 hostel buildings using FRBL GYPWALL and the project is being executed by CPWD, with our technical support. Since this is an earth quake resistant product, many residential buildings were constructed in Nepal using FRBL GYPWALL which proved to be earth quakes resistant. We are very happy to inform that all our projects including homes constructed by individuals using FRBL Gypwall and other commercial buildings are safe after the recent floods in Kerala. CPWD had recently included FRBL GFRG Panel and allied items in DSR 2016. FRBL was incorporated for manufacturing building products as a company on 02.05.2008. FRBL is also undertaking any type of Project Management Consultancy (PMC) jobs like construction of Buildings including electrification, Plumbing and Sanitary works, Boundary walls, Road works, Landscaping works etc covering any type of civil engineering jobs. In the last two financial years we had undertaken and completed various PMC jobs worth Rs.35.00 Crores, under Department of Tourism (Govt of Kerala), M/s Coirfed, M/s Foam-Mattings (India) Limited, M/s Malayalam University, BMTPC etc and more than 5 crore works are in progress. FRBL received appreciation memento for constructing the Library and Research Building (In Malayalam University- Tirur) in two stories having a plinth area of 10574 Sqft in 57 days.
