I had the incredible opportunity and experience of going to Greenland as a part of my teacher education at UC Syddanmark in Haderslev, Denmark. I was in the small, coastal community called Qeqertarsuatsiaat aka. Fiskenæsset, four hours south of Nuuk by ferry. Greenland is an amazing place with lots to offer and am so grateful that I had the chance to experience this different culture. I was involved with an organization called the Nuiki Project, which works to get older and younger learners who have yet to finish school back in the fold and pursuing new opportunities through education.
