🙋‍♂️Welcome to Honest Hotels! Gohtong Jaya is located at the foot hill of Genting Highlands. This satelite town is just about 30-45 mins drive away from the capital city of Kuala Lumpur. Named after its founder, travelers visit this place to take a breather from the journey up to the peak of Genting Highlands taking advantage of the cool weather and its mountainous wonders. We begin this episode by visiting the Strawberry Leisure Farm. It is said to be the largest Strawberry orchard at Malaysia. Visitors may pick strawberry right from the plants and purchase various products made from it. There is also a lavender garden where various colourful and fragrant flowers are grown on site. We also stop by the restaurant inside to sample some of the delicacies made fresh from the produce of the farm. Gohtong Jaya's hilly terrain and densed vegetation makes it an ideal location for farmers to grow crops. We stop by Mini Cameron Highlands Garden to look at some of the local products to bring home. There are various plants for sale with good reasonable price, an organic mushroom farm with packed goodies and also fresh vegetables right from their hydroponic farm. They look so delicious we just cant resist getting some of it. For our last stop, we head to Happy Bee Farm to learn about the ins and outs of bee hive management and harvesting of honey. This farm acts as an education centre where it also houses a butterfly sanctuary and an insect museum. It takes full use of the natural surrounding allowing the bees to forage for flower nectar naturally.
