One of the features of LibreOffice Calc is the ability to create user defined formats for cells. This can be useful for adding a prefix to a cell value, such as a currency symbol, a unit of measurement, or any other text. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Select the cells that you want to format with a prefix. 2. Go to Format - Cells or press Ctrl+1 to open the Format Cells dialog box. 3. In the Category list, select User-defined. 4. In the Format code field, enter the prefix followed by a space and then the format code for the value. For example, if you want to add a dollar sign as a prefix, you can enter $ #,##0.00 as the format code. You can use any of the existing format codes as a reference or create your own. 5. Click OK to apply the format and close the dialog box. You should now see the prefix added to the cell values.
