One of the features of LibreOffice Calc is the ability to create user defined formats for cells. This can be useful for adding a prefix to a cell value, such as a currency symbol, a unit of measurement, or any other text. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Select the cells that you want to format with a prefix. 2. Go to Format - Cells or press Ctrl+1 to open the Format Cells dialog box. 3. In the Category list, select User-defined. 4. In the Format code field, enter the prefix followed by a space and then the format code for the value. For example, if you want to add a dollar sign as a prefix, you can enter $ #,##0.00 as the format code. You can use any of the existing format codes as a reference or create your own. 5. Click OK to apply the format and close the dialog box. You should now see the prefix added to the cell values. You can also use this method to add a suffix or both a prefix and a suffix to a cell value. For example, you can enter #,##0.00 kg as the format code to add a kilogram suffix.
