The Sniper Buggy is a high clearance, low ground pressure, tractor based buggy. It was designed and built by Sniper Welding Ltd. in High Level, Alberta. It is purpose built for low impact travel on the soft sensitive terrain found in this area. The ability to travel in such areas in the summer months, makes the Buggy an ideal choice for winter road construction as well. High ground speeds, lower overall weight, kubota reliability, gear drive power frame all contribute to the Buggy’s ability to pull heavier drags further and faster than conventional methods. All shots in this video are from ice road construction in the High Level, ALberta area in northern Canada. For the most part this area is bottomless muskeg. The Sniper Buggy has proven itself a cost effective addition and works well assisting conventional equipment on the larger projects.
