Being part of the family's endeavor since its early stage, he soon became an inspiring top-notch lyre player, constantly learning and experimenting with musicians worldwide. Marios Podaras is a seasoned violin player with a passion for electronic music and a newly acquired love for the ancient pandura. He has composed music for movies, award-winning video games, and contemporary dance performances and participated extensively in studio recordings for music albums covering a wide range of music genres such as rebetiko, rock, blues, jazz, punk, and psychedelic. Growing up in Budapest, Peter Somos started working professionally at the age of 14. He's a summa cum laude graduate of the Codarts University of Music in Rotterdam. Throughout his career, he has recorded with artists such as Casey Benjamin, Mahesh Vinayakram, Nadishana, Paquito D'Riviera, Besh o droM, and Krzysztof Scieranski, to name a few. He's also played on festivals like Sziget (HU), Exit (SR), WOMADelaide (AUS), Meskie Granie, Jamboree, Opener' (PL), Sudtirol Jazz (IT), JodhpurRIFF, Kolkata Jazz (IN), Shanghai World Music (CN), Jeju World Music (KR), etc. He is an experienced studio player, having played on several recordings in many styles (from jazz through pop-rock to metal). He's also been hired by the best rock-metal studio in the Eastern part of Europe (Hertz Studios, known for their work with Behemoth or Decapitated) to record the entire library of their VST plug-in.
