The Land Rover Defender is the most closely related to the original 1948 Series Land Rovers that started the entire brand and are still hugely capable, rugged and durable off-road vehicles. Each vehicle that leaves the Yorkshire based Twisted factory is unique and has had bespoke handcrafted performance, comfort and off-roading upgrades specified. Twisted Automotive founded in 2000 set out on one mission, “to take the iconic Land Rover Defender and re-engineer it to be the very best vehicle it can be”, and that is what they have been doing to this day. Ordered and specified by our chairmen, this example as you can imagine has had no expense spared. The T60 from Twisted features additional soundproofing which is a very desirable addition to any older defender, especially if it is to be used on the road. It also features an upgraded ECU and bespoke exhaust with engine power up to 172bhp from 120. The sound is beefier than the standard diesel due to the bespoke exhaust system, matching the stylish exterior. Additionally, Recaro seats can be found in the interior in a mixture of leather and Alcantara giving a much sportier feel with increased comfort. The MOMO steering wheel is smaller than that of the standard Defender providing a more comfort and more space. The upgraded suspension setup the T6o receives makes it far more road compliant over the standard Defender.
