A neat little thing to point out about I-55 is that it run almost parallel to the #OldRoute66 for quite a distance. Also, we will travel around Illinois' capital #SpringfieldIL. The town was founded in 1821 but was early settled in 1810. The most famous historic resident was Abraham Lincoln who resided there from 1837 to 1861.
