Welcome back. In this lesson, we narrow our focus and turn towards something that quietly shapes our days: our regular routines. Often done on autopilot, routines can feel mundane — or even restrictive — yet they hold a surprising amount of hidden abundance when viewed through a mindful lens. 🌿 Routines & abundance Most of us have routines that shape our lives: daily habits weekly rhythms monthly patterns places we return to again and again You might love routines and find them grounding. You might resist them, feeling they limit creativity or spontaneity. Or — like me — you might live somewhere in between. There have been times in my life when routines felt dull or monotonous, particularly during my years in a corporate role. But abundance was still there — I simply needed to learn how to look for it. And that is where mindfulness comes in. As we explored in Lesson 1, mindfulness is a technique we can learn — and it has the power to transform even the most ordinary days. ✨ A simple positivity practice One tool I return to again and again — both personally and in my hypnotherapy work — is a daily positivity practice. It’s simple, yet incredibly powerful. Throughout the day, capture small positive moments: in a notebook or journal on your phone on Post-it notes wherever feels accessible The power lies in: Observation — noticing when something genuinely positive occurs Capturing — writing a few words as close to the moment as possible Reviewing — revisiting what you’ve captured to support a more positive mindset This gentle practice helps train the brain to notice what is working, nourishing, and supportive in your life — even within familiar routines. 📓 How I approached this lesson For this prompt, I switched things up and created a weekly spread in my memory planner. I currently use a vertical Happy Planner as my weekly memory-keeping tool, and I love the smaller, contained format. For this spread, I focused on capturing daily positives within my regular routines. I’m working with printable scrapbooking products, scaled down to suit the planner format, using the My Story Matters collection from Traci Reed Designs. In this video, I share how the weekly spread came together. ✏️ How to approach this prompt You might like to: Choose a day or week to intentionally notice nourishing routines Take photos as you move through your day or week Reflect back through your photo library Focus deeply on just one or two routines and the gifts they bring Work with the journal prompts for added depth There’s no need to capture everything — intention and presence are more important than volume. 📄 Downloadable PDF (Journal Prompts + Project Details) A PDF is available to download alongside this lesson, which includes: all journal prompts photos of my completed pages 👉 https://tinyurl.com/k264zhye Use whatever feels supportive and leave the rest. 🌿 Technique Challenge (Optional) For those who enjoy a little extra creative play, the optional challenge for this lesson is to include list-style journalling in your project. List writing is a wonderful way to: capture lots of thoughts or feelings keep journalling concise support daily positivity practices work beautifully in planners and smaller formats If you’d like to share your project on social media, you can use: #mmkabundance so we can find and celebrate each other’s work. Thank you so much for joining me for this lesson. I hope it helps you uncover some gold hidden within your routines — things you may have taken for granted, but can now see through the lens of abundance. When you’re ready, I’ll see you in Lesson 4 (which goes live on 15th January 2026) , where we’ll begin exploring relationships, before choosing one to celebrate more deeply.
