Here’s Why The Volvo S60 T8 Polestar Needs More Love

In this video I review the Volvo S60 T8 Polestar and tell you why it needs more love. Volvo isn’t generally associated with fast, sporty, 4 door sedans. Typically what you see from a Volvo is safety and practicality with clean, simple designs. Most of that still remains, however, this S60 T8 Polestar is a little different. Polestar is the equivalent of a AMG to Mercedes, but for Volvo. They have been tuning Volvo race cars for two decades and in the meantime, also putting their hand on regular production cars. The S60 Polestar is an interesting car. It has an engine with a turbo and a supercharger. Its all wheel drive, but can be driven in either front wheel drive or rear wheel drive. And oh yah, it has over 400 horsepower and almost 500 pounds feet of torque. The Polestar S60 strikes a nice balance between a dull everyday driver and a hard edge sports sedan. I don’t believe it competes with the BMW M3 or Mercedes C63. Its performance character is slightly underwhelming, however, it makes up for it in other places. The S60 is a great car overall, but, I am more convinces at it prowess of being a unique and fun daily driver versus a true sports sedan.
